The meeting attracted over 100 KBGF members, friends, local artists, neighbors, and Shoreline City Council members to listen to Tony Angell present his research on crows and ravens presented in his co-authored book In the Company of Crows and Ravens and his naturalistic art highlighted in his book Puget Sound through the Artist's Eye.

To the delight of the audience, Tony shared stories about crows showing their intelligence and inclination for play and emotion for which humans rarely give them credit.

He also showed step by step how he brings to life a piece of stone into one of his popular sculptures: from chalk drawing, to initial chips, to final carving. Following the presentation, Tony signed books for many fans, including Art Kruckeberg himself.

As for the necessary business at the beginning of the membership meeting? Spoiler alert: the new board members were approved unanimously.

If you missed the presentation, you can watch a video of the night's event!
